The Mill Lead will play a key role in overseeing all aspects of our daily milling operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and safety, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of equipment, while leading a team of mill operators to meet production targets within quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of milling operations to meet production targets and customer demand.
- Monitor production processes, equipment performance, and product quality
- Implement production schedules, workflows, and quality control measures to optimize mill operations and minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer specifications.
- Coordinate regular inspections and tests maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment upgrades to ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation and maximize equipment uptime and lifespan.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’ s degree, HND, OND in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (minimum of 2nd Class or Upper Credit).
- At least 3 years of experience in milling operations management, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong technical knowledge of coated calcium carbonate milling processes, equipment, and technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and adapt to changing operational requirements.
