On December 6, 2024, we officially launched our state-of-the-art calcium carbonates production plant in Lampese, Edo State, and the excitement is still palpable!
Setting a New Standard in Manufacturing
At IzeCarb, we pride ourselves on innovation, excellence, and our ability to redefine industry standards. Our newly commissioned plant is the first fully integrated calcium carbonates production facility in Nigeria, a feat we are immensely proud of.
With a federal government-approved and licensed quarry to mine high-quality dolomite, we have created a seamless “Quarry-to-Customer” model that ensures top-tier efficiency. Equipped with advanced automation and a fleet of 50-ton delivery trucks, we are setting a new benchmark for delivering quality and convenience to our customers.
What This Means for Nigeria
Our Chairman and Founder, Mr. Osayi Izedonmwen, shared his vision during the commissioning ceremony:
“Import substitution is our end goal. We foresee a future in which Nigeria will no longer need to import calcium carbonates because of the high-quality calcium carbonates produced at IzeCarb.”
This plant represents more than just a business expansion; it’s a step towards transforming Nigeria’s economy. By tapping into the rich dolomite deposits in Edo State, we’re boosting non-oil revenue, creating jobs, and paving the way for economic diversification.
Phase One and Beyond: Our Bold Ambitions
In our first six months of operation, we aim to meet the current local demand for calcium carbonates. By the end of our first year, we plan to scale production to 200,000 metric tons annually, and within three years, our sights are set on achieving a capacity of 1 million metric tons to serve both Nigeria and the West African sub-region.
